We are seeking compassionate and reliable Respite Care Providers to support families and individuals with intellectual, developmental and cognitive disabilities by offering temporary relief from caregiving responsibilities in a family living setting. This role is essential in ensuring caregivers have time to rest, recharge and attend to personal needs while their loved one receive attentive and quality care.

Duties

Support daily living activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping and personal care/hygiene.

Engage clients in recreational, educational, or social activities to promote well-being.

Monitor safety and respond appropriately to emergencies.

Provide transportation as needed.

High School diploma or GED required.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Must be able to work a flexible, part-time schedule.

One (1) year’s volunteer or paid work experience in a human services field (i.e. education, mental health, nursing home or medical environment) .

Must have a current, valid driver's license and good driving record.

Ability to communicate effectively with families and maintain positive working relationships with individuals receiving services and care team. Must be able to work with diverse groups of people awith varying cultural and educational backgrounds.

Must be able to complete New Hire Training within 60 days of hire date.
