Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, home health, and community care environments. In this vital role, you will assist clients with daily activities, monitor their health and well-being, and ensure a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide patient observation and monitor vital signs to ensure health stability
- Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations for privacy compliance
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation tasks
- Use equipment like Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to safely transfer residents or patients
- Document care activities accurately in patient records and communicate updates to healthcare teams
Qualifications
- Prior experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care preferred
- Knowledge of patient care techniques including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, autism support, and hospice care
- Ability to work with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities with patience and empathy
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in condition
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility tasks safely
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families
