The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient receiving, storage, distribution, and fleet support. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized warehouse while supporting company-wide scheduling, deliveries, and inventory management. The Warehouse Supervisor will lead and train warehouse staff, safeguard inventory, and coordinate with other departments to support operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Previous warehouse supervision or leadership experience, preferably in an HVAC/R, construction, or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, OSHA safety standards, and distribution practices.
- Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred).
- Ability to effectively manage and train staff.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems and inventory software.
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to coordinate fleet operations and scheduling.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, purchase orders, and vendor documentation related to HVAC/R equipment.
- Knowledge of proper storage and handling of refrigerants, chemicals, and HVAC/R components (EPA guidelines familiarity preferred)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing programs.
- Ensure the warehouse remains safe, organized, and clean at all times.
- Oversee scheduling, deliveries, pickups, and returns while coordinating with other departments.
- Assist with fleet oversight, ensuring vehicles are maintained and properly scheduled.
- Maintain daily and weekly task checklists for warehouse staff, including but not limited to: - Scrap runs as needed - - Yard cleaning (at least weekly during fall; more frequently as needed) - Tarps folded and stored properly - Dumpsters cleaned daily
- Monitor and control inventory levels through regular physical counts, reconciling with system data.
- Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Maintain and develop warehouse staff by orienting, training, and supporting employees.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards; train staff on safe warehouse practices.
- Operate forklifts and train staff in proper use and safety protocols.
- Verify accuracy of HVAC/R orders, ensuring correct parts and equipment are picked, staged, and delivered to job sites.
- Work closely with service and installation teams to prioritize urgent orders and ensure timely delivery of critical HVAC/R materials.
- Oversee safe storage and proper documentation of refrigerants, chemicals, and other regulated materials.
- Coordinate warranty returns, vendor credits, and defective part processing.
- Asist in maintaining accurate records of fleet mileage, inspections, and maintenance schedules.
Physical Demands & Environmental Conditions:
- Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, bend, crouch, climb, and lift for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
- Required to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Required to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions depending on season and work environment (warehouse, yard, parking lot, etc.).
- Must have command of all five senses sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
- Must have functional vision, hearing, and speech sufficient to conduct conversations face-to-face and over the phone.
- Must have full range of motion and the ability to use hands, feet, and fingers to handle tools and equipment.
- Typical workweek consists of 8 to 10-hour days, 5 days per week.
Must be capable of working in high-stress situations and dealing with aggressive personalities in a fast-paced industry.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
