Ready to drive growth in a collaborative, employee-owned, full-service design and engineering firm offering integrated structural, civil, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing), and project management services?
We’re looking for a dynamic VP of Business Development—or a Director-level professional seeking their next challenge—to lead sales and client relationships across target markets including data centers, commercial buildings, institutional, parking structures, and infrastructure projects in the region.
Develop and execute strategic growth plans to expand project pipelines across multiple sectors: data centers, industrial, healthcare, higher education, hospitality, and infrastructure
Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of two marketing professionals
Foster strong client relationships with architects, developers, public agencies, and corporate stakeholders
Oversee proposal development, ensuring alignment with technical capabilities and market requirements
Position the company as the “builder of choice” through quality assurance, risk management, and integrated solutions
Drive brand visibility via targeted outreach, events, and strategic partnerships
Report directly to executive leadership on pipeline health, sales forecasts, and team performance
10+ years of business development experience within A/E firms or design-integrated environments
Background in architecture, engineering, construction, or facility design—preferably with knowledge of MEP, civil, structural, or energy systems
Proven track record of driving measurable sales growth and new project acquisition
Experience managing marketing or BD teams
Excellent networking, negotiation, and communication skills
Executive presence, strategic insight, and ability to influence senior stakeholders
$75K–$100K base, depending on experience
OTE of $150K–$200K including incentives
Company-paid vehicle and travel for client visits within 2 hours' radius of St. Louis
