Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Mobile Service Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial trash compactors and waste handling equipment at customer locations. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, enjoys working independently, and is committed to providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer sites to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on trash compactors and related equipment.
- Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues.
- Repair or replace faulty components, including motors, hydraulic cylinders, pumps, hoses, switches, and control systems.
- Perform equipment inspections and safety checks.
- Complete service reports, work orders, and documentation accurately.
- Communicate repair recommendations and equipment status to customers.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory of service parts.
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or industrial equipment repair experience preferred.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
- Welding experience is a plus but not required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
