Job Summary

Duties
- Vigilantly supervise pool areas to prevent accidents and respond swiftly to emergencies using water rescue techniques and first aid protocols.
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe environment for swimmers of all ages.
- Perform routine pool maintenance including cleaning filters, skimming debris, and checking chemical levels to ensure water quality and safety standards are met.
- Provide excellent guest services by assisting visitors with pool access, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort throughout their visit.
- Conduct water safety instruction sessions for guests, especially children or inexperienced swimmers, promoting water safety awareness.
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest or injuries by applying CPR, AED operation, and basic life support procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of pool activity logs, incident reports, and safety inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Valid lifeguard certification with current CPR/AED certification; experience in water rescue response is essential.
- Proven swimming ability with comfortable proficiency in water rescue techniques.
- Prior experience working as a lifeguard or in aquatic facility operations is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of water safety instruction, public safety procedures, and first aid protocols.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting related to pool cleaning supplies or equipment as needed.
- Strong customer service skills with experience working with children or diverse guest populations.
- Familiarity with pool maintenance tasks such as chemical testing and filtration system checks.
