Position Summary
First Steps Developmental Services is hiring a BCBA to work with the Clinical Supervisor and CEO to lead the development, delivery, and guidance of exceptional ABA services for children aged 6 and under and other school aged children. This clinical leadership position offers the opportunity for a leadership role to mentor and train staff, and development and drive programming. This candidate should be a clinically strong BCBA with strong leadership skills who is passionate about high quality and meaningful client work.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Programming, Caseload Management & Supervision
- Support the development and implementation of comprehensive, individualized ABA treatment programs for clients receiving services across center-based, home-based, and school-based settings
- Manage a clinical caseload consisting of early intervention and school-aged learners receiving a combination of center and in-home services
- Conduct intake assessments, functional behavior assessments (FBAs), skills assessments, and ongoing reassessments to guide treatment planning and clinical decision-making
- Provide direct supervision and oversight of treatment implementation across all service environments to ensure consistency, quality, and treatment integrity
- Monitor client progress through ongoing data analysis, program modifications, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Ensure clinical documentation, treatment plans, authorizations, progress reports, and session notes are completed accurately and in compliance with insurance and regulatory standards
- Coordinate care with families, schools, outside providers, and funding sources to support continuity of services and successful generalization of skills across environments
- Maintain ethical and evidence-based clinical practices aligned with BACB standards and organizational policies
Team Training & Supervision
- Train, mentor, and supervise Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) working in both center and home settings
- Conduct regular clinical observations, competency assessments, fidelity checks, and performance evaluations to support staff development and quality assurance
- Provide modeling, feedback, and in-the-moment coaching to clinical staff during direct service sessions
- Support onboarding and ongoing professional development initiatives for new and existing team members
- Participate in leadership meetings, case consultations, and collaborative problem-solving discussions to strengthen clinical outcomes and team culture
Parent & Caregiver Support
- Provide individualized parent coaching and caregiver training sessions focused on increasing carryover of treatment goals within daily routines and natural environments
- Support families in understanding the early intervention process, ABA treatment recommendations, insurance navigation, and long-term developmental planning
- Collaborate closely with caregivers to address behavioral concerns, increase functional communication, and promote independence across home and community settings
- Maintain consistent communication with families regarding treatment progress, goals, and recommendations
Collaboration & Program Growth
- Work closely with the Clinical Supervisor and CEO to uphold high standards of care and contribute to the continued growth of the organization
- Assist in the development of innovative clinical programming, parent training, operational systems, and interdisciplinary treatment pathways for center and home-based services
- Build collaborative relationships with public schools, early intervention providers, related service professionals, and community partners
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture through active participation in continuing education, mentorship, and organizational initiatives
- Support the expansion and quality improvement of First Steps’ center, home, and school consultation services through clinical leadership and strategic collaboration
Qualifications
· Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
· Master’s degree in ABA, Psychology, or related field
· 5+ years of experience providing ABA services
· 2+ years in a supervisory role
· Experience working in clinical early intervention - required
· Experience supervising RBTs/BTs and training caregivers
· Strong clinical writing, communication, and organizational skills

Pay: $75,000.00 - $82,500.00 per year
