Medical Shipment LLC is an Inc. 5000–recognized distributor of nursing simulation equipment and medical supplies, serving more than 1,000 nursing schools and universities nationwide.
The Role
We're growing — and we need a detail-driven representative to produce quotes/estimates for medical sales to help us keep pace. You'll work directly alongside our current Sales Support Representative, who will personally train you, as we build out a two-person team able to turn customer requests into accurate, professional quotes quickly, whether that's a single item or a 100-line custom kit.
What You'll Do
- Prepare quotes for customers — from quick single-item requests to complex, multi-item custom kit builds.
- Research pricing on items not yet in our system, and apply our standard pricing structure.
- Build out custom kits: verify every line item, set the product up in our inventory system, and generate the quote.
- Write clear, professional, courteous emails to customers throughout the quoting process.
- Learn our product catalog — nursing simulation equipment and medical supplies — hands-on, with support.
- Pitch in on website chat and light vendor coordination as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Someone meticulous — comfortable double- and triple-checking pricing and product details.
- Strong writer — professional, respectful, easy-to-read emails.
- Comfortable with numbers and basic pricing/margin math.
- Solid Excel, Word, and Microsoft Teams skills; willing to learn Fishbowl inventory software (we'll train you).
- A self-starter who takes notes, asks good questions, and builds product knowledge over time.
- Able to stay organized when order volume spikes, especially around the start of each school semester.
Nice to Have
- Experience in medical/healthcare distribution, nursing education products, or order processing.
- Experience with an inventory or quote management system.
Compensation & Schedule
This role starts part-time at $20–$25/hour, based on experience, with a clear path to full-time as you ramp up. Standard hours align with our team's typical 9 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule, onsite at our Illinois headquarters.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
