Galley Hatch Restaurant is looking for experienced, dependable Line Cooks to join our culinary team. We are a busy, established restaurant with a large menu and high-volume service, and we're looking for cooks who take pride in their work and enjoy being part of a strong kitchen team.
Full-time and part-time positions are available.
What You'll Do
As a Line Cook, you'll work alongside our chefs and culinary team to prepare and execute menu items efficiently and consistently throughout service.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards
- Work assigned stations including sauté, grill, fry, pizza, pantry, or other areas based on experience
- Set up and properly stock your station before service
- Maintain quality, consistency, portioning, and presentation standards
- Communicate effectively with chefs, expo, and fellow line cooks
- Keep your station clean, organized, and ready for service
- Complete prep work and restock products as needed
- Properly label, date, rotate, and store food
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
- Assist other stations and team members during busy periods
- Complete opening, closing, and cleaning responsibilities
What We're Looking For
- Previous line cook or professional kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
- Dependable and punctual
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and direction from kitchen leadership
- Comfortable working multiple stations or willing to learn
- Ability to maintain organization and composure during busy services
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
