Greenlake Senior Living is seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Director to oversee the physical plant operations of our senior living community. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring our residents enjoy a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment while supporting regulatory compliance, preventative maintenance, and daily facility operations.
What You'll Do
- Lead and supervise maintenance and housekeeping team members.
- Manage daily work orders and preventative maintenance programs.
- Ensure compliance with life safety, fire safety, and state regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate apartment turns and prepare units for new resident move-ins.
- Oversee repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, doors, windows, and building systems.
- Monitor and maintain fire alarm systems, emergency call systems, smoke detectors, and other safety equipment.
- Manage maintenance budgets, vendor relationships, and contractor performance.
- Obtain competitive bids and coordinate outside repairs when needed.
- Partner with community leadership to maintain a welcoming and attractive environment for residents, families, and visitors.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance needs.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical school degree, certification, or trade experience preferred.
- Previous maintenance leadership experience, ideally in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, multifamily housing, or commercial facilities.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general building maintenance.
- Experience managing vendors, budgets, and preventative maintenance programs.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- First Aid certification preferred or ability to obtain.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb ladders, and work both indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and respond to emergency situations as needed.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
