Key Responsibilities:
Work alongside crewmembers while Leading, training, and Supervising crews in forming, pouring, finishing, and curing concrete for structures like slabs, sidewalks, parking lots, and floors. The Finisher Foreman is responsible for ensuring work meets blueprints, and specs, managing material inventory, enforcing TR’s safety regulations along with OSHA’s regulations, and optimizing production schedules.
· Qualified applicants must possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation of their own
· Manage and make sure crew is operating safely and are following OSHA, General Contractors, and TR’s Safety regulations. Must have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions
· Maintain equipment and tools keeping them clean and in good running order
· You must have the ability to work long, flexible hours
· Maintain a clean work area and meet or exceed our safety and quality standards
· Material loading and unloading, hauling and hosting of materials
· Regular, reliable attendance
· While managing TR’s field crew’s, work with TR’s concrete Trade Superintendent to establish an efficient day-to-day schedule.
· Work with Superintendent to make sure the crews have all tools, equipment and materials on site to complete the tasks at hand.
· Work with TR’s Yard Forman to establish proper timely, efficient deliveries to multiple job sites.
· Manage and work directly with GC’s superintendents to make sure they are satisfied with day-to-day progress on job sites.
· Understand multiple project drawings and are comfortable with the task at hand.
· Make sure field staff are performing their work at the highest quality.
· Know how to use an iPad and Smart phone. TR uses electronic plans for all jobs including, plan reading, production reports, T and M sheets, timecards, daily logs, RFI’s, etc.
· Understand how to use ProCore for all aspects of the job.
· Work closely with Supervisor, General Superintendent, and PM/estimator on bidding productions.
· Coordinate and manage the day-to-day activities of multiple Structural Concrete projects.
· Manage 3-8 crew members on a daily basis
Some of our work requires short periods out of the metro but our crews are always home on the weekends.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities, as advised
- Self-motivated to accomplish needed task without direct instruction. Provide other support whether apparent, required or needed.
- Problem solving skills
- Other job duties of the CFF will include Pre-Construction site visits to make sure jobs are ready for crews to start. Making sure all specialty materials are ordered in a timely fashion. Making sure all TR’s equipment is well maintained and properly taken care of.
- TR’s Concrete Finisher Forman will report directly to TR’s Trade Superintendent.
Qualifications:
Experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be a self-starter, have good communication skills and the ability to adapt to ever-changing job-site needs. The requirements listed are a standard minimum, we welcome knowledge from other trades as well.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of concrete and masonry materials, techniques, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
