Position Overview:
Kates Detective Agency is seeking a reliable, experienced, and highly professional Overnight Armed Supervisor to oversee nightly security operations. The ideal candidate will lead by example, ensure the safety of personnel and property, and maintain a strong presence throughout the overnight shift.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support overnight security personnel on-site
Conduct shift briefings and ensure post orders are followed
Perform routine patrols, access control, and incident response
Maintain detailed reports and logs throughout the shift
Ensure all team members are in compliance with company policies and licensing requirements
Act as the primary point of contact for emergencies or incidents during the overnight shift
Provide training, guidance, and corrective feedback to officers as needed
Communicate with management regarding site updates, staffing issues, or security concerns
Requirements:
Valid and current armed security license
Minimum [2+] years of security experience, with some leadership or supervisory background preferred
Ability to remain alert, calm, and professional under pressure
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
Physically able to stand or patrol for extended periods
Availability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays if needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior military, law enforcement, or supervisory security experience
CPR/First Aid certification
Familiarity with incident reporting software or systems
