Warehouse Associate – Shipping, Receiving & Fulfillment (Part-Time to Full-Time)
KittyCare — Plano, TX 75093
Pay: $21.00 – $24.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-time (20–25 hrs/week) with a path to full-time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, day shift.
About KittyCare
KittyCare is a fast-growing direct-to-consumer pet wellness brand based right here in Plano. We make natural treats and supplements for cats — our flagship product is a hairball-defense cat grass treat — and we ship them to thousands of cat parents across the country.
We're small, we move fast, and we care a lot about getting orders out clean and on time. This is our first dedicated warehouse hire, which means you'd be running the operation, not just working in it.
The Role
You'll own our Plano warehouse end to end. Every order that goes out the door and every pallet that comes in is yours. You'll work independently most days, set your own rhythm, and have real say in how the space is organized.
If you like being trusted to run things your own way — and you take pride in a warehouse that's actually organized — this is a good fit. If you want to be told exactly what to do every hour, it isn't.
What You'll Do
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently, with care taken on packaging quality (our customers notice)
- Print and apply shipping labels; verify addresses and service levels before dispatch
- Manage outgoing shipments — stage orders, coordinate carrier pickups, hand off to UPS/USPS/FedEx
- Receive inbound deliveries — check in shipments against packing lists, flag discrepancies or damage, put away stock
- Run inventory counts — regular cycle counts plus periodic full counts; keep our system numbers matching what's actually on the shelf
- Keep the warehouse organized and clean — logical bin locations, clear aisles, packing station stocked, supplies reordered before we run out
- Flag problems early — low stock, damaged product, packaging shortages, anything that's going to cause a missed shipment
What We're Looking For
- 1+ year in warehouse, fulfillment, shipping/receiving, or a similar hands-on role
- Comfortable with a computer — you'll be using shipping software and updating inventory records daily
- Basic spreadseet skills
- Genuinely detail-oriented. Wrong item in the box means a refund and a lost customer for us
- Reliable and self-directed. You'll often be the only person in the building
- Able to lift up to 60 lbs and be on your feet for most of a shift
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Experience with e-commerce fulfillment (Shopify, WooCommerce, ShipStation, or similar)
- Familiarity with barcode scanning or inventory management software
- Experience setting up or reorganizing a warehouse from scratch
Why Work Here
- Real ownership. You're building the fulfillment operation, not inheriting someone else's mess
- Direct access to leadership. Your ideas get heard and implemented the same week
- Growth. As order volume grows, this role grows — more hours, higher pay, and eventually a team to lead
- Predictable weekday schedule. No nights, no weekends, no rotating shifts
- Free product for your own cats
Schedule & Start
We're starting this role at roughly 20–25 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with flexibility on exact hours. As our volume grows we expect this to move to full-time, and we'd want the right person to grow into it.
Looking to fill this quickly. If you're a fit, we'll move fast.
