Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. Duties
- Operate a range of trucks including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds with precision and safety.
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, ensuring secure handling and adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Drive efficiently along assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies to guarantee safe deliveries.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks when necessary, utilizing mechanical knowledge to operate auxiliary equipment safely.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or vehicle concerns.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the types of trucks operated.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver with a focus on heavy-duty vehicles such as dump trucks or tractor-trailers.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Experience operating various trucks including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, flatbed, and dump trucks.
- Ability to perform manual lifting tasks safely when loading or unloading cargo.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; familiarity with manual transmission is preferred.
