Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher for our Amazon Delivery Service Partner (DSP) team. The Dispatcher will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient transportation operations by coordinating deliveries, managing logistics, and maintaining communication with drivers. This position requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in multi-tasking in a fast paced environment to optimize delivery routes and schedules.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily delivery operations, ensuring timely dispatch of vehicles and drivers.
- Utilize technology platforms to monitor routes and provide real-time coaching to drivers.
- Manage transportation planning and logistics to maximize efficiency in delivery schedules.
- Analyze data related to delivery performance for continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentations of daily communications
- Communicate effectively with drivers via phone systems, ensuring clear instructions and support.
- Communicate effectively in daily team meetings with employees
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all dispatch operations.
- Assist with reporting, performance tracking, and administrative tasks related to dispatch.
- Communicate with drivers to provide guidance, updates, and issue resolution.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dispatching or logistics, preferably within a management environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on coaching etiquette and processes.
- Proficient technology skills for efficient data entry tasks.
- Ability to analyze logistical data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
