Job Title: Maintenance Technician 3rd shift
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining facilities and production equipment in optimal operating condition, ensuring minimal downtime, and supporting plant operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, and preventative maintenance, along with strong troubleshooting skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair production equipment, plant systems, and building infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, steam, plumbing, and refrigeration systems to minimize downtime.
Install, maintain, and repair production and ancillary equipment, including conveyors, motors, pumps, and gearboxes.
Follow all maintenance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
Create work orders in DAX for parts and track maintenance activities.
Attend shift start/end meetings to communicate issues and ensure proper follow-up.
Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) for critical equipment and complete major repairs during planned shutdowns.
Assist with capital improvement and equipment installation projects.
Support fabrication or modification of equipment per company specifications.
Train and mentor new Maintenance Technicians.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance workspace.
Manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously while ensuring completion.
Foster positive working relationships with team members, management, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
Electrical systems and troubleshooting
Welding and fabrication
Pumps and related equipment
Ancillary equipment including conveyors, motors, and gearboxes
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, electrical, and process drawings
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
Proven experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, or related field
Strong knowledge of plant equipment and processes
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
