At Country View Family Farms (CVFF), part of the Clemens Food Group, we take pride in raising healthy animals and maintaining world-class farm operations. We’re looking for a dedicated Farm Maintenance Technician to help keep our sow farms running smoothly and efficiently.
What You’ll Do
As a Farm Maintenance Tech, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the upkeep and functionality of our modern facilities. You’ll perform basic preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems, and help maintain a safe, efficient, and clean farm environment.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems (e.g., Electronic Sow Feeding Systems, ventilation, plumbing, lighting).
- Perform preventative maintenance on farm equipment, tools, and facilities.
- Maintain farm grounds, including grading lanes, mowing, and snow removal.
- Safely operate tractors, mowers, and other farm machinery.
- Follow all safety and biosecurity procedures, including PPE and lockout/tagout.
- Maintain an inventory of tools and spare parts.
- Assist with other farm duties such as pressure washing, composting, and animal handling as needed.
- Complete required trainings and step plans to advance in the Maintenance and Animal Care Specialist programs.
What We’re Looking For
You’re a reliable, hands-on problem solver who takes pride in quality work and keeping things running smoothly.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance and repair experience
- Basic electrical and welding skills highly desired.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
- Comfortable working in barns and outdoor environments (including exposure to dust, odors, and varying weather).
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organization skills.
- Availability to work Monday–Friday with occasional weekends or holidays.
