Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items following standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
- Operate various kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances to uphold food safety standards
- Assist in meal planning and portioning to ensure consistency and quality in every dish served
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and service flow
- Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of meals while adhering to recipe specifications
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during all stages of food production and service
Experience
- Prior experience working in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred
- Demonstrated culinary experience with proficiency in knife skills, slicing techniques, and cooking methods
- Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Familiarity with menu planning, food safety management, and recipe adherence
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Strong understanding of food handling regulations and safety standards in the food industry
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams
- Catering experience or serving background is advantageous for supporting diverse service needs
