Job Summary

Duties
- Prepare a variety of sushi including nigiri, sashimi, maki rolls, and specialty items with precision and creativity
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and food hygiene in all food preparation areas
- Source fresh ingredients and manage inventory to ensure quality and freshness of all sushi components
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate orders efficiently during busy service hours
- Educate team members on sushi techniques and presentation standards to uphold consistency
- Innovate new sushi recipes and menu items that excite and delight our guests
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety protocols at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a reputable restaurant or culinary setting
- Extensive knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively with staff
- Passion for culinary arts with a focus on Japanese cuisine or creative arts instruction related to culinary fields
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
