The position of a Summer Warehouse Worker will be available at East Central ISD for Summer 2026. All individuals (including district employees and enrolled students 16 yrs and older) who are interested in this temporary, as-needed summer position must apply online through Frontline on the district website. PRIMARY PURPOSE: To provide assistance and support on the completion of warehouse summer tasks. Assist when current staff are not able to efficiently and reasonably manage all their applicable inventory, record management roles and responsibilities due to summer demands.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Safely pick up, transport, and deliver supplies, furniture, equipment, and technology.
2. Continually, account for, assess the condition, secure, and update records on district inventory.
3. Assist with validating the receipt of items and inventory.
4. Assist with organizing warehouse deliveries.
5. Remove and shred old files as instructed.
6. Practice proper storage and handling of items and supplies.
7. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
8. Assist in any applicable records management and data entry tasks as needed, including the use of the district Follett system
9. Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to the supervisor immediately
10. Assist staff with any other applicable inventory management duties, events, and/or training.
11. Promote teamwork and interaction with fellow staff members and community members.
12. Be knowledgeable of and use safety procedures at all times.
13. Perform other warehouse and record management duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Enrolled High School Students 16yrs or older are eligible
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Be dependable and available to work.
Possess and retain qualifications acceptable to the district and the District's insurance carrier for operating District-owned motor vehicles
Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to understand and follow detailed written or verbal instructions
Ability to perform basic math and work independently
Ability to communicate effectively with others
EQUIPMENT USED: Standard office equipment including computer and peripherals; forklift or hydraulic lifting equipment; hand truck, dolly, and pallet jack; small hand tools; light truck or van, as well as forklift, ladders, dollies, pallet jacks, utility van, and trailers
WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; frequent walking, climbing ladders and scaffolding; grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion/extension, and overhead reaching; frequent driving. Heavy lifting and carrying (45 pounds and over) on a daily basis. Work outside and inside, on slippery or uneven walking surfaces; frequent exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust, toxic chemicals and materials, noise, and vibration; work around moving objects or vehicles; may work alone; occasional prolonged or irregular hours.
PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT: Duration of summer (June - July)
SALARY: $14.50/hr.
