The Inspection Operations Leader provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for a national team of inspectors and quality professionals supporting the Manufactured Structures Division. This role is responsible for ensuring consistent inspection standards, regulatory compliance, inspector training, certification management, and operational excellence across all regions.
Working closely with Associate Directors and cross-functional teams, this leader will drive continuous improvement while ensuring the organization has the right resources in place to meet customer demand and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and support a geographically dispersed inspection team through Associate Directors.

Establish consistent inspection standards, training programs, and operational processes.

Ensure compliance with HUD Code, modular construction regulations, and applicable federal, state, and industry requirements.

Oversee inspector certification and licensing programs.

Partner with HR to identify staffing needs and support recruiting efforts.

Monitor inspection capacity and align resources with customer demand.

Lead plant certification activities and support manufacturer onboarding.

Evaluate operational performance and implement improvements that enhance productivity and customer experience.

Conduct performance reviews, coach leaders, and support employee development.

Manage departmental expenses and promote cost-effective travel planning.

Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the inspection organization.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Demonstrated leadership experience managing geographically dispersed teams.

Experience overseeing complex inspection or quality assurance programs.

Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Experience developing training programs, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality initiatives.

Proficiency with electronic reporting systems and related technology.

Valid driver's license.

Ability to travel overnight for customer visits, meetings, and field inspections.

Ability to perform physical inspection activities, including bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience within the modular construction or HUD manufacturing industry.

Working knowledge of federal, state, and industry regulations governing manufactured structures.

ICC Inspector Certifications in building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, accessibility, and energy disciplines for residential and commercial construction.
