PARC is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented full time Healthcare Customer Service Representative to join our home care support team. In this role, you will be the vital link between our patients, their families, and our clinical care teams, ensuring individuals receive high-quality care safely at home.. This is a 100% on-site role requiring presence in our Farmington Hills office Monday through Friday.

JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Patient & Family Support: Act as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries, addressing concerns with extreme empathy and patience.
- Intake Coordination: Process new home care referrals and accurately input patient demographic and medical data into our system.
- Care Scheduling: Coordinate with nurses, therapists, and home health aides to schedule and confirm home visit timelines.
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance eligibility, obtain initial authorizations, and explain coverage details to families clearly.
- Documentation Compliance: Maintain strict data privacy by accurately updating electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Clinical Escalation: Recognize urgent patient health complaints and immediately route critical situations to triage nurses or supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Empathetic Communicator: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a gentle tone suited for elderly or vulnerable populations.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Basic understanding of healthcare privacy laws, specifically HIPAA compliance.
- Detail-Oriented & Organized: Ability to accurately manage sensitive medical data and complex schedules without errors.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) and scheduling software.
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in healthcare administration, medical billing, home health, or a medical call center is highly preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; medical terminology coursework or medical assistant background is a plus.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
