Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Purchasing services, products, materials etc. for manufacturing business
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment to meet production demands
- Coordinate with outside supplier to ensure on time deliver
- Work with Scheduling to ensure products, services etc. are ordered on time
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams internally with receiving products and goods
- Perform root cause analysis on supply chain issues and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier performance
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a buyer/planner required
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems
- Proficient in purchasing, reviewing schdules, inventory management
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build strong supplier relationships
- Solid understanding of procurement management principles and practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in sourcing and qualifying new suppliers
Experience in manufacturing business required. We are an Aerospace machining business dealing with raw materials such as aluminum, Steel, titanium etc. Additionally outside processes such as cad plating, primers, topcoat, heat treating etc. Previous experience is critical
