Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times
- Support clients with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety guidelines
- Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status and report changes promptly
- Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or other cognitive disabilities, employing patience and effective communication techniques
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interactions to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
- Practice safe manual handling and patient lifting techniques to prevent injury for both clients and staff
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, client progress, and any incidents or concerns in compliance with agency policies
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, memory care, dementia care, and geriatrics is advantageous
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; ongoing training will be provided if necessary
- Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely for client transportation or errands
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with resident transfers safely
- Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful, person-centered care

Pay: $15.00 - $20.02 per hour
