Schedule: Part-time. Wednesday-Saturday, 12pm-5pm
Are you eager to be a part of the change and care that supports youth in our community? Do you have the drive or experience to be an assurance and lift for young people facing houselessness? If so, New Avenues for Youth is seeking a Safe Place Coordinator to join our Alba team.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in social work, communications, psychology, or related human services field -or- combination of work and lived personal experience facing housing barriers as a teen. Will consider lived experience in substitute of years of Education.
- Experience creating and facilitating trainings.
- Experience conducting outreach to youth who face multiple barriers.
- Valid driver's license, access to an automobile, and active auto insurance.
What You'll Do:
- Develop: Engage organizations, schools, and businesses in becoming Safe Place partner sites; Create and deliver trainings on Safe Place and youth experiencing houselessness.
- Outreach: Connect with youth and community to foster pathways and access to services.
- Post: Make materials to get the word out, including social media content.
- Document: Maintain accurate and timely records, ensuring that our programs have the data they need to thrive and continue serving those who need it most.
