Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, kitchens, and hallways using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Handle custodial tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, polishing floors with buffers, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold sanitation standards
- Operate cleaning machinery including floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other commercial cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
- Manage chemical handling procedures with strict adherence to safety protocols to ensure safe use of cleaning agents and prevent hazards
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting to support overall facility upkeep
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting and manual handling activities to prevent injuries while moving furniture or supplies
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, safety inspections, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with health regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services within residential or commercial settings
- Strong knowledge of sanitation practices and chemical handling safety procedures
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment including floor buffers and industrial cleaning tools
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward residents and staff
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged periods of standing or walking
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as basic repairs or painting is a plus
- Commitment to safety protocol adherence and maintaining a clean, hazard-free environment
