Irontax is seeking an experienced Appraiser who will be responsible for all aspects of appraisals from start to completion – including but not limited to inspection, research, valuing assets, report creation and report delivery. As part of our team, you will be expected to actively support and collaborate with your colleagues. This includes assisting team members with tasks outside of your immediate role, sharing knowledge and expertise, and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the inspection and valuation of Machinery & Equipment in general practice
- Conduct site visits to gather and record asset information by means of written or dictated documentation and photographs
- Research to include contacting OEMs, used machinery dealers, auctioneers and/or distributors to obtain the additional detailed information regarding the subject assets including acquisition costs, replacement cost, age of equipment, technical specification, and general industry conditions.
- Formulate the findings into a structured report
- Review their own work for accuracy and will be subject to project reviews, leading to error-free valuation results
- Support the team in attending business development meetings and presentations along with maintaining and nurturing client relationships, as an individual and as part of the team
- Continuously develop and accumulate industry knowledge
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Demonstrated proficient computer skills to include, Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Teams), as well as other office software products (i.e. Salesforce, Adobe)
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and present findings into a concise report, both verbally and in writing
- Manage time effectively to meet deadlines throughout the appraisal process
- Possess attention to detail and impeccable organizational skills
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture and manage multiple and shifting priorities
- Ability to form effective working relationships within the business at all levels and with clients
- Ability to operate independently as well as part of a team
- Effective manager of conflicting priorities for both self and others
- Can work in a variety of locations across the USA when required

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma, or equivalent; Associate/Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
- ASA POV courses or Appraiser related CE preferred
Travel Required
- Extensive travel including the possibility of last minute and weekend travel
