We are a growing, patient-centered dental group with two locations in the Fort Wayne and Auburn area — Union Chapel Dentistry and Auburn Family Dentistry. Our team is tight-knit, professionally driven, and committed to doing things the right way. We’re looking for a detail-oriented financial professional to own our accounts payable and payroll functions on a consistent part-time schedule.
The Role
This is a structured, autonomous part-time position built around a predictable schedule. You’ll report to the CEO and COO, and be responsible for keeping our payables current and our biweekly payroll running cleanly. Schedule (Part-time)
- Monday (4–5 hrs): Accounts payable processing, invoice intake, vendor payments, timecard collection on payroll weeks
- Friday (4-5 hrs): Weekly reconciliation close-out, AP wrap-up, reporting
- Every other Wednesday (3–4 hrs): Biweekly payroll processing
What You’ll Do
- Process accounts payable invoices across two locations
- Run biweekly payroll using Paychex Flex, including timecard verification and discrepancy resolution
- Reconcile books weekly for CEO review
- Manage vendor records, payment schedules, and follow-up
- Maintain accurate, organized records for month-end and year-end close support
- Communicate proactively with the COO on any discrepancies or timing issues
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable and/or payroll processing.
- Quickbooks experience is required.
- Proficiency with payroll software — Paychex Flex experience strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and a track record of accuracy in financial data
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable managing multiple locations’ data and deadlines simultaneously
- Discrete and trustworthy with sensitive financial and employee information
- Experience in a healthcare, dental, or multi-location environment is a plus
Compensation
$22–$26 per hour depending on experience
