Seeking Cook at Fellow Mountain Cafe
We're looking for a skilled, reliable Line Cook to join our kitchen team. You'll work in a fast-paced and fun cafe environment, executing a focused menu of elevated breakfast and lunch dishes with consistency and care. This is a great opportunity for a cook who takes pride in their craft and wants to be part of a tight, talented team.
Fellow Cafe is a dynamic, from scratch kitchen, that serves seasonal cuisine inspired by the bounty of the Hudson Valley and our neighboring farms and purveyors. The cafe, in addition to serving in house guests, also has a catering program and often participates in special, local events and our own in-house programming. We are a small, close knit team that takes pride in the offerings we make and serve our guests.
Our Cafe is open year round and this position is being offered as a year round role or as a seasonal role.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Execute breakfast and lunch dishes consistently
- Prep ingredients daily to maintain par levels throughout service
- Maintain a clean, organized station throughout and after each shift
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and storage standards
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen team during service
- Assist with receiving deliveries and rotating stock
- Support fellow team members during high-volume rushes
- Contribute ideas and energy when the team develops seasonal specials
