Job description:
A hotel front desk worker is the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in ensuring a welcoming, smooth, and professional experience during their stay. This position involves both customer service and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide excellent customer service throughout their stay.
- Check guests in and out of the hotel efficiently, verifying reservations, assigning rooms, and processing payments.
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries about reservations, hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
- Handle guest requests, complaints, or issues promptly and professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of guest accounts, room availability, and daily financial transactions using the hotel’s property management system (PMS).
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure rooms are ready for arrivals and any guest issues are addressed.
- Manage cash, credit card transactions, and prepare shift reports as needed.
- Follow security and safety procedures to protect guests, staff, and hotel property.
