Seeking a compassionate, energetic and detail-oriented Director of Nursing to assist in providing psychiatric healthcare. The successful candidate will serve as a liaison between patients, physicians and families in their role, which requires time management skills, advanced communication skills and the ability to redirect discussions when necessary. The ideal candidate for this position has experience working with patients suffering from a mental illness such as depression or schizophrenia, as well as advanced education in the field of psychiatry
Interested applicants must have the following qualifications:
- Have a current license as an RN in MN.
- Demonstrate integrity, good judgement and initiative.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working with individuals with mental illness.
- Available to work 20-24 hours per week.
- Proficient in use of Residex software.
Must be up to date with CEUs, have a valid driver's license, CPR and First Aid certificates.
- Perform medical and nursing assessment of patient cases and adjust treatment accordingly.
- Read and interpret test results.
- Communicate with patients, doctors, or families when necessary.
- Administer medication or treatment to patients as ordered by physician.
- Evaluate effectiveness of treatment programs.
- Teach patients about their illness and how to manage stress related to the illness.
- Continually learn about new developments in the field.
- Prepare accurate patient reports.
- Be on call to attend to residents and staff needs.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
