Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment - Take and develop dental x-rays - Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Perform basic dental laboratory procedures, such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns - Maintain accurate patient records and documentation - Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations Qualifications: - Dental assisting certification or relevant experience - Proficiency in medical imaging, including taking and developing dental x-rays - Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology - Familiarity with infection control procedures and protocols - Ability to take accurate vital signs and record medical documentation Skills: - Medical imaging (x-rays) - Pediatrics (working with children) - Dental assisting techniques - Knowledge of dental anatomy - Infection control procedures - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations - Understanding of medical terminology - Ability to take vital signs accurately - Proficiency in medical documentation Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
