Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist with food production to ensure timely and quality meal service
- Follow recipes meticulously to maintain consistency and uphold food safety standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, poaching stations, braising pots, and food processors safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness by adhering to sanitizing procedures and proper dishwashing techniques throughout shifts
- Support the culinary team with meal assembly, plating, and portion control for various menu items
- Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs
- Uphold food handling safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
Requirements
- Prior experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, restaurant, or catering is highly desirable
- Demonstrated knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and general food preparation
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely in high-volume production settings
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and adhere strictly to menu planning guidelines
- Excellent food handling skills with a focus on quality control and presentation
- Previous roles involving dietary department experience or fine dining are a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
