Wine & Spirits Sales Representative
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Compensation: Hourly Pay + Monthly Commission
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Wine & Spirits Sales Representative to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about wine, spirits, and customer service, with a strong ability to drive sales, build customer relationships, and create new business opportunities.
The right candidate will support in-store sales, direct customer engagement, email marketing, corporate sales, party and catering orders, and long-term customer loyalty.
Responsibilities
Drive Sales Growth
Actively sell wine, spirits, beer, and related products through in-store customer engagement, direct outreach, and repeat customer follow-up.
Expand Sales Channels
Identify and develop new business opportunities, including corporate orders, party and catering sales, university group sales, and special event purchases.
Email Marketing & Direct Sales
Create and send weekly promotional emails featuring wine and spirits specials, seasonal deals, and curated product recommendations to encourage direct orders.
Customer Engagement & Loyalty
Build strong relationships with customers, provide product recommendations, and help develop a customer database for repeat business and future promotions.
Product Knowledge
Learn and stay updated on our wine, spirits, and beer selection in order to confidently advise customers and increase sales.
Commission Opportunity
In addition to hourly pay, eligible employees can earn 1% monthly commission on approved net sales generated from successful customer transactions.
Customer Service Excellence
Deliver a premium shopping experience by providing professional, friendly, and knowledgeable service.
Inventory & Stock Support
Assist with recurring purchase orders, monitor daily stock levels, organize products, and help ensure shelves are fully stocked and presentable.
Professionalism & Performance
Maintain a high standard of integrity, accountability, teamwork, and customer-focused service.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven sales experience, preferably in wine, spirits, beer, restaurant, bar, retail, or distributor sales.
- Strong product advising skills and ability to recommend products based on customer needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage customers, build relationships, and close sales.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory or POS systems.
- Strong organization skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Ability to perform physical duties, including lifting up to 70 lbs, bending, standing, reaching, stocking, and moving products.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in wine, liquor, beer, bar, restaurant, retail, or distributor sales preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screening may be required.
