Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator 1 to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role is highly repetitive operation of assigned machines following prescribed process and inspection of parts for quality. Perform general housekeeping, keeping work area clear of debris. Primarily responsible for one of the following areas. Assist in other areas when assigned.
Responsibilities
- Operate machines and achieve rate’s safely that coat battery terminal parts.
- Inspect coated battery terminals for defects such as:
- Coating weight is within the specification range
- Even and continuous coating coverage
- Coating coverage shall be without glob
- Coating coverage shall be without major porosity or bubbles
- Coating must be dry
- No dents, nicks, distortion or other imperfections that would interfere with the fit of the post burning dam or insertion into the cover mold
- Box coated battery terminal parts, in accordance to Otter Lake Technologies and customer specifications
- Have knowledge of Otter Lake Technologies, LLC Management Systems and how to contribute.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Employees will abide by the company Integrated Management System (IMS) procedures and work instructions. Employees will perform work in a safe and environmentally conscientious manner according to company policy.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to learn general computer skills.
- Basic math and English reading and speaking skills. Manual dexterity.
- Ability to operate machinery that is unique to application. Ability to stand some or most of the time.
- Ability to routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds.
- Proficient in running the following machines while meeting department quality and productivity standards.
- A minimum of five in-house Coating machines OR assigned machines in of the following areas: Coining, Cold Form, Extrusion, Packaging
- Ability to obtain forklift certification
- No regular travel required

Pay: $20.98 - $20.99 per hour
