Our Academy is in search of a full-time 1st Grade Teacher, who will teach with an integrated approach in the following:
Reading: Learning to read with UFLI
Literature (Ancient): Lively reading of classic texts.
History (Ancient): Study of major civilizations and events.
Math: Instillment of Math fundamentals with Singapore Math.
Writing: Instruction in structured writing and foundational compositional skills.
Grammar and Language Skills: Ongoing development of grammar, vocabulary, and mechanics to foster clarity and precision in writing.
Bible: Bible stories through a tailored, immersive curriculum.
The 1st Grade Teacher will also instruct with a keen awareness that virtue is the end of a good education,
and will seek to grow personally in and out of the classroom, and to therefore participate in ongoing professional development opportunities given by the Academy.
Requirements
Preferences
Experience or familiarity with classical education
B.A. or higher in the liberal arts, history, literature, education or a related academic field
