Core Molding Technologies is hiring a Quality Engineer to support product launches through process improvement, root cause analysis, and product quality in a manufacturing environment. In this role, you’ll collaborate across Engineering, Operations, Customer Support, and Purchasing to drive quality outcomes that meet our standards and customer expectations.
Responsibilities

Analyze product/process failures and lead root-cause investigations

Support corrective and preventative action (CAPA) efforts

Respond to customer complaints and audit failures

Own and manage IATF 16949 QMS processes

Develop PFMEAs, control plans, and quality documentation
-
Conduct supplier quality audits and manage non-conformances
-
Track quality metrics, trends, and reports
-
Support APQP, MRB, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
-
3+ years in a quality engineering or manufacturing role
-
Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001/14001 standards

Experience with SPC, MSA, CAPA, and technical writing

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Minitab

Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills

Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
Preferred

ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, etc.)

Six Sigma Green/Black Belt

Internal auditor experience

Experience in automotive or plastics manufacturing
