JB’s Home Services of Northwest Florida is expanding into HVAC, and we are looking for the right person to help us build this division the right way from the ground up.
This is not just a desk manager role. We are looking for an experienced HVAC professional who has strong service diagnostic skills, solid install experience, and the leadership ability to help grow and shape a new department. In the beginning, this role will be hands-on in the field with office and management support behind you. As the HVAC division grows, this person will be expected to help train, lead, and manage additional HVAC team members.

What This Role Looks Like
In the early stages, this position will primarily be a field leadership role. You will be running service calls, diagnosing systems, performing repairs, quoting appropriate solutions, and handling installs as needed. You will also help us establish standards, procedures, and expectations for how our HVAC department operates.
As we grow, this role will transition more into leadership, including helping hire, train, coach, and manage future HVAC technicians and installers.
Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and service residential HVAC systems
Perform HVAC installations and replacements as needed
Troubleshoot system performance issues accurately and efficiently
Communicate clearly with customers about findings, options, and recommendations
Maintain a high standard of workmanship, professionalism, and cleanliness
Help create processes, standards, and best practices for the HVAC department
Assist in training and developing future HVAC team members
Support inventory, truck stock, and job readiness as the department grows
Work closely with office staff and ownership to build a strong, profitable HVAC division
Represent the company well in the field and help establish a great reputation for our HVAC services
Qualifications
Strong residential HVAC diagnostic and service experience
Strong HVAC install experience
Ability to work independently in the field and make sound decisions
Leadership mindset with the ability to train and guide others
Strong communication and customer service skills
Organized, dependable, and solutions-oriented
EPA certification required
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred
Ability to pass background screening and any applicable pre-employment requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading other technicians or installers
Experience helping build or grow a service department
Sales ability in a service environment, including presenting repair vs. replacement options
Experience with maintenance memberships, flat-rate pricing, or service systems is a plus
