CT Technologist – Contract

Contract Duration: Approximately 8–13 weeks
Experience Required: 1–3+ years of CT experience, depending on assignment
Shift: Available Schedule
- Day Shift: Approximately 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Day Shift: Approximately 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Overnight: Approximately 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM, Monday–Friday
- Part-Time Weekend: Saturday/Sunday assignments may be available.

Job Summary
We are seeking experienced CT Technologists for contract opportunities in New York City and Brooklyn. The CT Technologist will perform diagnostic CT examinations according to established protocols, ensure image quality, maintain patient safety, and operate CT equipment effectively.
Candidates must have current New York State Radiologic Technologist licensure, ARRT certification in Radiography and CT, and BLS certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT examinations according to prescribed protocols to ensure accurate and high-quality diagnostic images.
- Select appropriate kV and mA techniques based on the examination and patient needs.
- Perform daily equipment calibration and quality-control checks before patient studies.
- Administer contrast/radiopharmaceutical agents according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Follow all radiation safety procedures and the ALARA principle.
- Perform quality assurance, quality control, and safety testing.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after CT procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, logs, and charge information.
- Identify and report equipment issues in accordance with department procedures.
- Maintain and retrieve electronic patient imaging data for radiologist interpretation.
- Follow department, regulatory, and safety policies at all times.
- Overnight assignments may require performing X-ray procedures in addition to CT.
- For applicable assignments, order and receive patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses and verify activity levels before administration.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an JRCERT-approved Radiologic Technology program.
- Current New York State Department of Health Radiologic Technologist License (LRT).
- ARRT certification in Radiography and CT.
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum 1 year of CT experience; some assignments require 3+ years of CT experience.
- Strong knowledge of CT procedures, radiation safety, quality control, and patient care.
- Ability to work independently and follow established CT protocols.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- English proficiency required.
Preferred / Assignment-Specific Experience
- Contrast/injection certification and experience.
- Experience with cardiac CT for applicable assignments.
- Experience with Siemens Naeotom Alpha/Alpha Peak and Philips Brilliance iCT 256 equipment for applicable assignments.
- Experience working overnight CT/X-ray shifts.
Pay: $65.00 - $72.00 per hour
