Position Overview
GEC is seeking a Part-Time and Full Time Bilingual Case Worker/Office Assistant to support clients navigating behavioral health and community-based services. This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, organized, and committed to working with underserved populations.

You will work closely with clients to connect them with resources, offer crisis support, and promote positive behavioral change—all while fostering an empowering environment that encourages growth and resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide case management and client support services
- Assist clients with referrals and coordination of behavioral health, social, senior, and immigration-related services
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation.
- Maintain accurate and timely client documentation
- Support clients with basic computer-based tasks (forms, emails, applications)
- Collaborate with clinical and program staff to ensure continuity of care
- Advocate for clients and help address barriers to services
- Provide crisis management support by de-escalating situations and connecting clients with emergency or ongoing care services.
- Collaborate with community partners to facilitate workforce development opportunities and access to supportive services.
- Maintain detailed case records, service plans, and progress notes in compliance with organizational standards.
- Advocate for clients’ rights and needs within the context of Section 8 housing programs and other social support initiatives.
- Assisting clients with digital literacy
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Experience working with low-income, immigrant, or underserved populations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
- Prior experience or training in social work, behavioral health is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of Section 8 housing programs, workforce development strategies, and community resources.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, professionalism, and cultural competence.
- Experience working with diverse populations facing behavioral health challenges or social service needs is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, email, electronic records, or case management systems) is a plus.
- High school diploma or GED required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
