Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions
- Support clients in improving social, communication, and daily living skills
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with individuals with ASD or other developmental disabilities is a plus
- Ability to follow behavior intervention plans and implement strategies effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Skills:
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
- Familiarity with data collection methods and behavior tracking systems
- Ability to adapt interventions based on individual client needs and progress
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively in challenging situations
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
