Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Softball Coach to join our growing organization and work with youth 10u players. We are looking for an Assistant Coach. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in the game of softball and a commitment to fostering a positive and encouraging environment for young athletes. This role involves not only teaching the fundamentals of softball but also instilling values of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among players.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement practice plans that enhance players' skills and understanding of the game.
- Conduct training sessions focusing on fundamental techniques, game strategies, and physical conditioning.
- Provide constructive feedback to players to help them improve their performance.
- Organize and assist team practices, games, and tournaments while ensuring player safety at all times.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and other coaches regarding team progress and individual development.
- Monitor player behavior and enforce rules to maintain a respectful and focused environment during practices and games.
- Collaborate with other staff members to promote overall athletic programs within the organization.
Experience
- Proven experience in softball coaching/player, preferably college softball and/or coaching experience.
- Background in teaching or working with students in an educational or athletic setting is also highly desirable.
- Skills in behavior management to effectively guide young athletes in a team environment.
- Familiarity with softball training methods, gym environments, and generic view of biomechanics can be beneficial for enhancing training sessions.
