Job Description Summary
Strategy & Operations (StratOps) is a newly established function within the Office of the Chief Operating and Financial Officer (COFO). It helps Enterprise prioritize, resource, govern, and deliver its most important cross-divisional work — bringing together project management, portfolio management, execution, and resource allocation in one place, without replacing division or Shared Services ownership. StratOps focuses the organization on a defined set of strategic priorities that require coordination, tradeoffs, and sustained execution.
Job Description
It has three areas of focus:
Shared Services PMO: Provides portfolio management, project management, and execution support across Enterprise’s corporate Shared Services functions — such as Finance, Treasury, IT, and Enterprise Risk Management
Based in New York, this is a hybrid role. The Director, Enterprise PMO leads the Enterprise PMO vertical within Enterprise’s new Strategy & Operations function and is responsible for enterprise prioritization, portfolio management, and the systems and processes that translate strategy into structured, actionable work. Supporting the function’s leader in driving Strategic Plan delivery, the Director runs the operating cadence that keeps implementation on track — maintaining an enterprise-wide view of execution, surfacing risks, tradeoffs, and decisions, and preparing the function to update the Strategic Leadership Council (quarterly) and the COFO, CEO, and Executive Leadership Team (regularly) on progress and where action is needed. This role calls for someone who can operate at the enterprise level, shape priorities and tradeoffs, and bring the judgment to navigate ambiguity, while also building the systems and rhythms that turn strategy into execution. Working within the frameworks owned by the function’s leader, we are looking for someone with the entrepreneurial drive to operationalize and scale them — building, testing, and continuously refining the tools, systems, and operating rhythms that bring them to life. The role also provides hands-on support and leads select enterprise-wide initiatives and special projects.
Prepare updates and reporting for the COFO, CEO, and Executive Leadership Team on the status of strategy implementation more broadly — surfacing priorities, tradeoffs, risks, and decisions, and coordinating across divisions to source and align inputs
Establish governance, tools, reporting, and change management approaches to support adoption of strategic and operational work
8–12+ years of experience in strategy, transformation, enterprise PMO, or cross-functional leadership
Entrepreneurial builder’s mindset — energized by operationalizing frameworks, building the tools and systems that bring them to life, and refining them over time, and comfortable operating in a function that is still taking shape
Strong ability to translate strategy into structured execution (systems, governance, tools, and operating rhythms) and bring clarity and structure in complex, evolving environments
Strong communication and executive presentation skills, with high judgment, adaptability, and the ability to operate in ambiguity, across multiple stakeholders without direct authority, and across multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
You will be joining a team of talented professionals motivated by serving the community and addressing the need for affordable housing.
