Job Overview
The Courtyard by Marriott Clemson is seeking an energetic, guest-focused Bistro Attendant/Bartender to provide exceptional hospitality in The Bistro. This position plays a key role in creating memorable guest experiences by serving food and beverages, preparing specialty coffee drinks, mixing cocktails, and delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced hotel environment. The hotel is looking for someone that can work both mornings and evenings.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems, processing cash and card transactions efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and offering personalized recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Manage bar inventory levels, restocking supplies as needed, and tracking product usage to minimize waste.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or hospitality industry roles.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions accurately.
- Demonstrated expertise in barista operations, mixology, cocktail creation, wine knowledge, and craft beer handling.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume service periods.
- Ability to handle cash transactions responsibly with basic math skills for retail math and food industry calculations.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
- Previous experience working with beverage recipe development or beverage management is a plus.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude that fosters guest satisfaction.
This position is for someone that can work both in the morning and evenings. Our shifts cover food and beverage operations during breakfast and dinner hours.

Pay: $10.00 - $10.30 per hour
