Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for infants.
- Provide attentive, nurturing care to infants, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being at all times.
- Manage classroom activities with a focus on behavior management and positive reinforcement strategies to create a calm and structured environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about each child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong partnerships.
- Conduct assessments of child development using standardized testing methods and maintain detailed records of each child's growth and achievements.
- Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom management techniques, and early intervention strategies for children with special needs.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications.
Skills
- Extensive experience working with children in early childhood settings, including toddler care and preschool environments.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, literacy education, and math instruction tailored for young learners.
- Proven ability to manage classrooms effectively while maintaining a warm and engaging atmosphere.
- Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with children, parents, and team members.
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and behavior management techniques.
- Ability to plan lessons that incorporate physical education activities and promote overall child welfare.
- Knowledge of daycare standards, private school requirements, mandated reporting laws, and childhood safety protocols such as first aid and CPR certification.
