Currently our client, a Japanese freight forwarding company, is looking for an Ocean Import Operation Supervisor.
【Position】Ocean Import Operation Supervisor
【Location】Hayward, CA
【Compensation】$70,000 - $78,000 / year( Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k))
【Schedule】Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
【Hiring Style】Direct Hire / Full-time
Responsibilities
- Supervise ocean import and export operations
- Handle day-to-day ocean freight forwarding operations
- Coordinate shipments, documentation, and delivery schedules
- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, carriers, and overseas offices
- Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve operational issues as they arise
- Support operational process setup during the U.S. branch launch phase
- Assist with internal coordination and reporting as needed
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of ocean freight forwarding experience in import or export operations is required
- At least 2 years of team leadership, supervisory, or equivalent leadership experience is required
- Excellent communication skills in English are required
- Basic PC skills (typing, document preparation, and general office software) are required
