Job Summary

Duties

- Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including tests, projects, and observations.
- Provide early intervention strategies for students who require additional support.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and classroom activities.
- Mentor students in their academic pursuits, helping them set goals and achieve success.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance teaching practices and share resources.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- West Virginia Teaching Certification.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of early intervention techniques to support diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
- Proficiency in classroom management strategies to create a conducive learning environment.
- A passion for literacy education and the ability to inspire a love for reading among students.
- Commitment to mentoring young learners and fostering their personal growth.
