Role Summary
The Department Supervisor is a salaried leadership role responsible for the overall performance, operations, and people management of an assigned distribution center function. This leader owns day-to-day execution, ensuring accuracy, productivity, and a safe, positive work environment while driving results through hands-on coaching, clear communication, and operational discipline. The Supervisor is accountable for team performance, associate development, and maintaining consistent execution of operational priorities, while exercising independent judgment to manage workflow and people-related matters.
What you'll do

Be a TPS brand ambassador

Lead, coach, and develop a team of Leads and associates to drive performance, engagement, and accountability.
- Manage all aspects of employee performance, including coaching, corrective action, and development planning.
- Train and onboard new associates, ensuring role clarity, capability, and adherence to safety expectations.
- Establish clear expectations and hold associates accountable to productivity, quality, and safety standards.
- Address workplace conflict directly and professionally, partnering with HR on escalated or non-negotiable matters.
- Own daily department operations including workflow planning, prioritization, and execution.
- Delegate work effectively to balance workload, meet operational goals, and support team development.
- Monitor and manage departmental performance metrics, taking proactive action to address gaps and drive improvement.
- Adjust labor, workflow, and priorities in real time to meet changing business demands.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment and enforce all safety requirements.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as the primary communication bridge between associates and department leadership.
- Facilitate daily huddles to reinforce priorities, expectations, safety, and performance goals.
- Support building operations, including opening/closing, incident response, and asset protection responsibilities.

Job Requirements

3–5 years of leadership experience in distribution, warehouse, or similar environment.
- Experience managing employee performance, including coaching and corrective action.
- Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and warehouse management systems (WMS preferred).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods up to 6+ hours and operate in a warehouse environment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, and extended hours as business needs require.
Work onsite at the Distribution Center, located in Leominster, MA
