We are seeking an experienced, detail oriented Part-Time Accountant to assist with the accounting and financial management of our seven locally owned businesses.
This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and can manage multiple companies with accuracy and confidentiality. Pay will be based on experience, but we guarrentee a minimum of $25 hourly to start.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Preparing monthly financial statements
- Sales tax reporting and compliance
- Payroll coordination and journal entries
- General ledger maintenance
- Budgeting and financial analysis
- Working with our CPA for year-end reporting and tax preparation
- Monitoring cash flow and assisting with financial planning
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and internal controls
Qualifications:
- Accounting degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Ability to manage multiple entities and prioritize competing deadlines
- Experience in retail, restaurant, or multi-company accounting is a plus
- Experience in HR/Payroll accounting is a plus
