JOB SUMMARY:
Under direction of the Purchasing and Inventory Supervisor, the Entry-Level Junior Buyer will perform the purchasing activities for materials, equipment, supplies and the expediting of materials.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Determine purchasing requirements by reviewing purchase orders and inventory.
- Analyze usage requirements by reviewing system levels and consulting users.
- Purchase materials, parts, supplies and equipment following established purchasing policies and procedures.
- Perform follow-ups with vendors as needed.
- Ensure ISO policies & procedures are met.
- Communicate questions, concerns and cost savings to Purchasing and Inventory Supervisor.
- Complete tasks in accordance with purchasing policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter and the ability to work independently.
- Working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Organizational skills for efficient office control.
- Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts.
- Possess solid decision-making skills.
- Ability to adapt and prioritize.
